Attraction to a ring(jewelry not sure why)

I came accross a ring someone given to me because they thought something was attached to it I thought so too I have looked everywhere to find out what the symbol is can’t find anything the ring is supposedly really old anyone know anything about it

Seems eastern, may want to look for taoist or hindu lore

I’m still searching its supposedly very old and valuable not sure

There’s no marking near the third eye which is common in anything from a Hindu or Buddhist tradition, it actually looks more Mediterranean to me - the dimples by the side of the mouth.

Does it have any markings inside?

have you thought to get it appraised by a jeweler?
