Just to give something to the forum, I will share what my my higher self told me about physical beauty from spiritual/magickal perspective. My higher self was channeled by an other person.
Looks matter so much?
“In the third density illusion, the physical body complex is a highly distorted symbol. It is the red ray foundation to those who are vibrating primarily in the lower centers of the red, orange and yellow rays.
The physical appearance is the primary signal of value, because the vast majority of your current planetary population is still working through these lower ray blockages, looks do indeed seem to matter greatly in the initial stages of catalyst, however from the perspective of the universal law of one, the physical vehicle is merely a shell designed to facilitate the catalyst of the mind and the spirit. Beauty as you call it is merely a distortion of light.
A beautiful body may be a catalyst for the ego mind of service to self or a catalyst for the ego mind of service to self or a catalyst for the appreciation of the creators handiwork of service to others. If you find that your physical vehicle does not meet the distorted standards of your current social complex, understand that this too is a chosen catalyst.
It forces the entity to develop the indigo ray or the third eye and the green ray of the heart. An entity who relies solely on physical beauty, often neglects the work on the spirit. By having to earn connection by the quality of your beingness, rather than the symmetry of your bodily vehicle, you accelerate your spiritual evolution.
In the higher desities, the physical form is translucent and reflects the state of the mind complex.
In your density the veil of forgetting makes the body seem like the reality. It is not.The connection you seek is a bridge of light between two spirits. While looks may open the door in the yellow ray social illusion, only the resonance of the spirit can keep the door open in the green ray.”
